TU is accepting applications for a full-time Coordinator in the Office of New Student and Family Programs within a highly collaborative and dynamic Division of Student Affairs. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of New Student and Family Programs, the Coordinator plans orientation, transition, and retention experiences for approximately 6,000 undergraduate students and their families. This position is responsible for educating and engaging students and families in a successful transition to TU. This position will support orientation leader recruitment and training, transfer orientation, the Transfer Mentor Program, and the Freshman Transition Program (FTP), a partnership between the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) and TU. The responsibilities of this position include program development, event management, training student leaders, administrative support, academic advising, and assessment.
The Coordinator of New Student and Family Programs is a full-time professional in the Office of New Student and Family Programs within the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for educating and engaging students and families in a successful transition to Towson University. In particular, this position will support transfer orientation and the FTP, a partnership between CCBC and Towson University. The responsibilities of this position include: program development, event management, administrative support, academic advising, and assessment. This position also coordinates the Orientation Leader recruiting, hiring, and training as well as the Transfer Mentor Program. This position will support the planning and execution of Family Weekend. This position will report to the Assistant Director of New Student and Family Programs.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of professional experience is required (two years of graduate assistant experience will count as one year of professional experience).
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field.
- Experience working with orientation, transfer programs, academic advising, and/or undergraduate admissions.
