The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Data product team. A Data Product Owner, will primarily focus on the central management of our client’s data. To be successful you will be (or become) the subject matter authority for the overall data stack that supports IMS products and develop an understanding of the platform in which those products operate.
Our clients have increased their appetite for data consumption and IMS has initiated several projects to meet that demand; enhance the integration of fund and portfolio accounting systems with investor data, optimize our data pipelines, evolve our data platform technology to a cloud based solution. This role will help drive the successful implementation of these initiatives for the organization.
What you will do:
- You will have responsibility for the IMS Data Warehouse.
- You will own the implementation of data enhancements in response to client or internal requests and for technical debt items by collaborating with BA and development resources.
- You will engage with partners to understand requirements and articulate acceptance criteria and prioritize the ensuing work.
- You will participate in and share responsibility with high priority data organization initiatives.
- You will either possess or develop a competency with cloud technology and cloud data services.
- You are the SME in this role, providing knowledge and expertise in this business area.

What we need from you:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Business or applicable experience.
- 10+ years’ experience with a strong background in data management and knowledge of the financial accounting data domain
- Ability to query and analyze large data sets with SQL and/or other languages and tools.
- Competency and work experience with Data Modelling, Database Systems and Data Workflow
- Financial Services experience, preferably FinTech experience in Asset Management or Wealth Management.
- Experience with Agile and Iterative development methodologies.
- Experience with software development management/tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
