FMC has an immediate opening for enthusiastic, creative, and talented Analytical Scientist to join our Global Analytical Sciences team. The Analytical Sciences team works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support the discovery and development pipeline.
In this role, key responsibilities are to:

Design, lead, conduct or coordinate, as GLP study director or study monitor, the overall process for required analytical studies to meet global regulatory guidelines.

Direct laboratory programs to design, develop and validate analytical methods for the qualitative and quantitative assessment, including trace-level analyses and sample preparation protocols, of agricultural products, their intermediates, metabolites, and impurities.

Train, develop and supervise associate chemists in a way that enhances their knowledge, skills, and capabilities in analytical chemistry.
The scope of this role includes support for process and formulations development, manufacturing of existing commercial and pipeline products, and defense of the current product portfolio. The role includes analytical support of all phases of R&D development, with responsibility from early stage to commercial launch.?
The successful candidate will be able to work independently, but also collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, including analytical chemists, process chemists and process engineers.
Required Education:

Ph.D. degree in chemistry, with a preferred concentration in an analytical discipline. Chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, GC) and mass spectrometric techniques (LC/MS, GC/MS) preferred, broader separations technologies and other disciplines will be considered.

Strong knowledge of traditional and modern analytical techniques including chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, GC) and mass spectrometric techniques (LC/MS, GC/MS).
