  Additional Information: Show/Hide Job Scope: The Grants Coordinator is responsible for all accounting functions for Federal, State and Other grants received by the District. This includes, budgeting, banking, purchasing, accounts payable, journal entries, financial analysis and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Maintain all financial data for individual grants using the school district financial accounting system.
Approve purchase orders and expenditures to maintain budgetary limits and compliance with grant requirements.
District liaison for disseminating information to program personnel regarding compliance.
Complete required monthly and annual State grant reporting.
Prepare monthly and year end reconciliations, analysis and reports.
Assist in year end City audit preparation various program audits.
Support annual grant application processes by costing salary and benefits data.
Review Education Services accounts payable batches and process checks..
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Financial recordkeeping skills.
Knowledge of grant accounting, purchase order procedures and general fund accounting.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Effective computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, accounting software).
Detail oriented and highly organized.
Ability to meet deadlines timely and efficiently.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and various state and federal agencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
Three years of accounting/bookkeeping experiences.
Knowledge of school district programs preferred.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, salary commensurate with experience.
Working Conditions - Full Time/52 weeks with benefits
