Overview
Under the direction of Education Leadership, acting as a liaison between BTS (Business Transformation Services) and the Education programs, provides support to Teachers, staff, and students regarding the integration of computer technology and related applications into daily learning and classroom activities.
Responsibilities
Provides ongoing support to Teachers, Clinical and administrative staff, and students regarding the introduction and effective integration of technology into daily education activities,
Assists teaching staff in identifying, locating, assessing, and utilizing instructional and assistive technology and software
Conducts surveys, assesses, analyzes, and determines specific training needs of teaching staff in accordance with guidelines defined by National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers; may design and conduct one-on-one and group training sessions/workshops and training content, prepares training materials, tutorials, and activities, etc., to meet training objectives;
Furthers the proficiency and knowledge of Teachers, staff, and students by maintaining and updating personal technology training methods and techniques in the latest technology trends related to special education and adaptive/assistive technology.
Provides support to computer technology users and performs various activities across the Bancroft Education system to ensure the coordination, implementation, currency, and optimal utilization of computer technology and adaptive/assistive technology:

Follows state-approved emergency procedures and utilizes Bancroft-approved crisis intervention techniques at all times.

Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Certification in Computer Repair and/or current CompTIA A+ certification preferred, a working knowledge of Google Apps for Business preferred and specialization in educational technology preferred. Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in information systems providing technical support in a network environment required.
Special Skills:
Effective teaching, communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, organizational, and time management skills required. Knowledge of current and changing technological developments/trends in the field of special education and adaptive/assistive technology required. Knowledge of various hardware, software, and educational/training methods and techniques required, specifically in a special education setting. Operative
knowledge of various computer software packages and programs. Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions. Minimum 18 years of age required.
