Overview
Pacific Catch Inc. is seeking a General Manager who is passionate about inspiring, motivating and managing a team. The General Manager directs the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with the company standards in all areas of the restaurant, including product preparation and delivery, guest relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting and retention of team members, and financial accountability. General Managers are detail-oriented hospitality specialists who will ensure that the highest quality food and services are delivered to each guest, every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively manage a Pacific Catch restaurant and its team members within the policies and guidelines of the company while exemplifying our Core Values each day
- Provide direction, leadership and mentoring to all FOH and BOH team members every shift
- Ensure fast, accurate service, and positive and polite guest relations
- Be the face of Pacific Catch: engaged with the community, introducing our food, inviting the guests in, and ensuring a memorable hospitality experience
- Ensuring that entire facility and service area is full/clean/abundant during service
- Handle guest complaints/concerns with empathy, professionalism, and prompt attention
- Completion of daily, weekly, and monthly operational, administrative, and HR-related duties
- Review and understand P&L statements, always looking for opportunities to improve sales or manage costs
SKILLS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Strong leadership, hospitality, and people management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with higher leadership, team members, and guests
- Advanced knowledge of food, ingredients, wine, and spirits
- Computer skills in Excel, Toast POS, Open Table, Google Mail, and calendars
- Personal and emotional stability; must serve as strong and positive role model
- Open to a possible transfer to another Pacific Catch location in the future
- Passionate about protecting our oceans and environment
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Your 5+ years hospitality experience including at least 3 years of experience in management
- You’ve managed other successful, high-volume restaurants or perhaps in an innovative chain
- You possess a proven track record of effectively and empathetically training, mentoring, and managing hourly employees
- You are experienced in professional and prompt business correspondence
- You have received positive and raving reviews from both former employers and people you’ve managed
- Degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or Communication is a plus
PHYSICAL
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $103,000 per year
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, salaried position, approximately 50 hours/week. Managers will be expected to work evenings and weekends regularly.
TRAINING
Training will be provided by Pacific Catch, Inc. at one or several Pacific Catch locations.
