The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation’s most pressing security challenges.

We have a near-term need for a Special Operations Forces Support Staff Officer I to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

The Special Operations Forces Support Staff Officer will support OUSD(I&S)'s HUMINT & Sensitive Activities (H&SA) Directorate in their mission to provide oversight, governance, and integration. The candidate will apply technical knowledge and provide analysis on a broad spectrum complex sensitive programs and activities. The candidate will assist with planning, directing, and coodinating the development of policies related to sensitive activities and support for issues that require short notice decision support for senior DoD leaders. The candidate will gather and synthesize information, and develop and coordinate staff packages for issues and engagements regarding intelligence and related policies, programs, and activity support for special operations. The candidate will provide recommendations in the developent, review, and revision of strategy and policy guidance involving the coordination, assessment, reporting, and conduct of sensitive activities in support of special operations.

Qualifications

Required:

Associate’s Degree
1 year of experience working with Special Operations Forces and/or clandestine operations.
1 year of experience with developing policy and providing recommendations related to sensitive special operations.
Active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
