The Senior Director of Residential Strategic Sales Channels (RSSC) is part of the Partner Channel (PC) organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and leading a national sales organization with responsibilities for both an internal Verizon team and an external vendor program. This function provides residential sales that include mobility and broadband services.
Leadership scope consists of door-to-door sales, engagement manager program, big box, outbound telemarketing, and event vendors, with responsibility for 50+ employees and 1.5K contractors with $1B+ in annual revenue. The oversight of this team will create the ability to exceed growth targets through launch and daily plans while improving efficiency, simplifying processes, and lowering costs.
This role is a critical leadership role reporting to the SVP Partner Channels and the selected candidate will be expected to lead a high-performing residential sales team, including managers and client executives, as well as maintain critical relationships with external Verizon stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
Defining the tactical and strategic requirements needed to build a “world-class” residential distribution sales organization that leverages all of Verizon’s assets
Working across multiple channels, segmentation, and operational support teams to drive a simplified approach to our vendor partners
Acting as a liaison and advocate for the team with various internal stakeholders, including Finance, Human Resources, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Marketing
Be the “face” of Verizon residential sales distribution, unifying internal and external partners for the greater success of the program
Utilizing a deep understanding of our fios and 5G Home broadband products, in concert with our Wireless products and services, and full distribution to leverage integrated solution-selling future approach to all of Verizon products and services
Utilizing sales and leadership expertise, as well as business acumen, to build and defend relationships within the existing channel partner customer base, while driving growth and revenue attainment
Leading and managing a team of senior managers to build and foster a high performance culture through collaborative performance management and feedback
Effectively hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members to enable growth to create and maintain a best-in-class sales organization
Traveling throughout a national footprint to meet with existing vendor partners and prospects, to act as the executive sponsor as needed, to win new vendor relationships, and defend existing revenue
Driving sales activity and holding team accountable through prescriptive management to ensure that new sales partnerships are acquired and that revenue is maintained
Preparing and delivering executive presentations with comfort speaking to C-level
Working collaboratively with the Verizon partner and vendor programs and driving revenue generating products and services to foster teaming when appropriate
Accurately forecasting beginning of month projection vs. actual monthly performance
Partnering with Channel Operations & Program, Channel Sales Enablement, and Channel Partnerships to improve customer and partner experience, resulting in accelerated sales and increased top line growth and profitability
Participating in quarterly business reviews, partner advisory councils, and other external meetings with key partners
Developing strong relationships with partner senior-level management to develop sales and growth initiatives in support of our wireless mobile products
Working with Channel Operations & Program on partner contract negotiations with Finance teams to ensure vendor contracts and compensation models enable desired strategies, sales tactics, and outcomes
Delivering quality vendor sales through a high-integrity vendor sales channel that is grounded is the optimal customer experience
What we’re looking for…
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred
8+ years of work experience, with 5+ years building and growing partnership programs
5+ years of people management experience
Extensive Fios & 5G Home background, as well as solid wireless product knowledge, including vendor sales management experience (products, distribution, co-employment knowledge, and compensation alignment)
Business acumen, with the ability to work with internal stakeholders to advocate for team
Strong executive presentation and interaction skills, up to and including C-level
The ability to conduct “peer-to-peer” engagements with the highest levels within an organization while displaying the higest levels of professionalism and polish
The ability to conduct meetings and train others how to manage complex relationships and sales/customer experience engagements, while successfully selling complete solutions by differentiating the Verizon brand from the competition
In-depth understanding of and experience with Wireless and Wireline products, services, processes, and systems
Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, while balancing multiple, highly complex, cross-functional projects/initiatives of varying priority
Accomplished leader capable of driving high performing teams to achieve results
A coach and developer of people who strives to elevate performance while maintaining a collaborative culture
The ability to adapt while quickly spotting changing industry trends in products and technology
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $182,000.00 and $338,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
