Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, preferably with previous experience working with Eating Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, and the LGBTQIA+ communities, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients in our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena, San Marino and the Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area, and our Reasons inpatient programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital and Virtual Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Services. The Reasons Program Therapist may support adult and adolescent patients in any of our locations to include inpatient, residential or virtual services. This position performs functions including individual therapy, biopsychosocial assessments, process, topic, and psychoeducational group teaching, completing specialized clinical social work services for residents/families receiving care, crisis intervention, family therapy, milieu management, meal support and providing information and referrals as needed. This position documents all services provided in the medical record on the day of service, collaborates with the treatment team, and contributes to the treatment plan. The therapist will conduct utilization reviews and interface with insurance providers/managed care as assigned. Requirements: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field, required. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a residential or psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and strong clinical assessment skills, preferred. Eating Disorder experience is preferred. In lieu of experience specialized education and training may be acceptable. We will provide training for caring, compassionate, and interested hires. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Must be available to work weekends. Spanish speaking, preferred. Will need to be available to work at all locations listed depending on the needs of the program and patients.
