SALARY: The salary range for this position is $85,628.14 to $135,623.54. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.

The Morris-Sussex Vicinage seeks a self-motivated, flexible, and results oriented individual to serve as the Assistant Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 1B). The individual should be committed to providing exceptional service and possess strong leadership, analytical, total quality management, and communication skills. Under the general direction of the Vicinage Finance Division Manager (Court Executive 2B), the selected candidate will assist in planning, directing, and evaluating the workflow of the Finance Division. The Assistant Finance Division Manager will possess strong technical competence skills to assist with the oversight and support of the Court Held Funds Unit which processes fines, fees, restitution, child support, bail escrow and other court ordered payments. The selected candidate will use their administration and management skills to assist in developing, implementing and/or maintaining internal controls, operating procedures and systems; regulating the flow or work, prioritizing work in accordance with operating schedules; managing, mentoring and coaching a diverse staff; conducting formal work performance evaluations with staff, providing direction and feedback; mediating and resolving conflict; and developing staff through training. Additional duties include but are not limited to: the development, implementation and/or maintaining of internal controls, policies and procedures, and systems, preparing spending plans, grant management, position control, purchasing, accounts payable, and management of fixed assets.
Although this position is based in the Morris County Courthouse (Morristown, New Jersey) travel to the Sussex County Judicial Center (Newton, New Jersey) and other Judiciary locations is required.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
