The Architectural Designer is responsible for design and production of construction documents, on limited scope projects, under the supervision of a Sr. Project Coordinator, Project Architect or Project Manager. Capable of basic design, setting up and coordination of the documents, based on standard architectural practices and applicable codes.
Requirements:
An Architectural Designer II shall have a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and experience from 3 to 7 years in an architectural firm/field. This position requires general knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketch Up. A basic understanding of architecture, building construction, and building codes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of construction documents and specifications.
- General knowledge of methods, materials and detailing.
- Ability to complete designated scope of work within allotted time budget.
- Assist with permitting process, including response to comments.
- Assist with administrative tasks for bidding procedures and construction administration.
- Participates in site visits.
Skills:
- Research and apply applicable basic code issues.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines.
- Basic presentation skills.
- Additional duties as assigned.
