Join our experienced and skilled multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat a primarily adult population with a wide variety of communication disorders. Our center has a specialty program, known as the Neuro Day program which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We provide the clinician with a wonderful learning experience with a chance to work with a staff with over 100 years of combined clinical experience.
Euclid Outpatient Rehab has a PRN opening for a Speech and Language Pathologist: For assessment and development of personalized treatment plans to restore, enhance and/or compensate adult patients with speech, language, swallow, fluency, voice and cognitive impairments
- To perform diagnostic speech pathology testing including evaluation of swallow function with videoflouroscopy studies (MBSS)
- To interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.
- To provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and their families.
- To provide observations about hearing and other behavior to help determine need of other services.
- To Provide recommendations for improving communicative function to referral sources and outside agencies such as schools and employers
- Facilitation of comprehensive communication with patients, family members, caregivers, colleagues, and medical team to enhance patietnt care and outcomes
- Excellent verbal and documentation skills to comply with state and federal guidelines
- For supervision of student interns
Day shift Monday – Friday: Schedule and hours may be variable with the possibility of adding additional hours subject to organizational need related to outpatient volume.
Must have 2 years of outpatient experience.
Certifications:
· Must hold or be eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology License (SP) from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
· Must hold (SP) license in current state upon start date.
· Holds Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
