JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for processing goods in the warehouse, assisting truck drivers, and various other warehouse duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Determine and process items that are salable, clean and safe.
Assist in production or warehousing.
Assist is maintenance and cleaning of warehouse.
Bales clothes and operates baling machine.
Rides with Drivers to delivers product to GICO stores.
Picks up salvage and trash from stores.
Pick up goods from Attended Donation Centers and Stores.
Ride with drivers to make special pickups on Saturday or Sunday.
Abide by GICOs policies and procedures.
Punctual & dependable attendance
Attends trainings as necessary
Reviews and is familiar with GICOs safety policies, programs and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and necessary safety meetings.
Responsible for housekeeping of receiving area (inside and outside)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
Provide excellent customer service to store personnel and donors.
Load and unload trucks
Responsible for daily reports of production totals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, twist, bend, kneel and reach for long periods of time (up to 8 hours a day).
Good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Warehouse environment, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles.
The noise level is usually moderate.
Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime, when approved by manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior warehouse experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
Good customer service skills.
Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
