Specific Responsibilities
The EH&S Manager for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Environmental, Health and Safety team at the company’s Houston, Texas office reporting to the EH&S Director - Environmental and Sustainability.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Oversees the development of policies and programs to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate environment impact
Leads the development of policies and programs which enhance corporate compliance with environmental regulations
Manages a diverse team of engineers and specialists across various geographic locations
Leads the professional development of team members to enhance capabilities within the organization
Expertise in US oil and gas development as well as the governing environmental compliance requirements (OOOOb/c, Subpart W GHG reporting, NM Ozone Precursor, IRA-WEC, JJJJ/ZZZZ, BLM, NM Methane Waste Rule etc.)
Engage with state and federal regulators as needed (EPA, NMED, TCEQ)
Oversee and review the timely submission of federal and state reporting requirements
Work with industry groups such as AXPC, API, TXOGA and PBPA to evaluate and respond to pending regulations
Proactively identifies environmental risks and implements plans to mitigate these risks in partnership with operations
Manage suppliers and vendors to ensure budgets and timing of projects are maintained
Work with internal data specialists and IT to improve data insights and environmental performance tracking
Expertise with production systems, databases, emissions calculation and modeling software tools
Collaborates with various stakeholders to drive alignment and standardization across assets
Proactively engage with industry groups and peers to identify and implement best practices
Supports setting corporate environmental goals and targets
