As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Define requirements and identify technologies for scaling networks.
Engage with the build and operations team to verify the commissioning and acceptance of new open cable systems.
Engage with external vendors and internal teams to operationalize stable and scalable platforms.
Work with network design, deployment, and operations teams to deliver reliable platforms and optical designs.
Design and develop test plans for optical systems.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with submarine systems.
Experience with network designs.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
Experience with submarine cable system design, manufacturing and operation.
Experience with open cables design, commissioning and acceptance, operations and management.
Experience with optical networking devices, optical fibers, optical modules and subsystems.
Experience with submarine line terminating equipment (SLTE) operation and management.
