About this position:
The Community Support Facilitator (CSF) oversees a caseload in our Supported Living program and is responsible for managing the day-to-day support of people with developmental disabilities living in their own homes. The Community Support Facilitator (CSF) will advocate for and support clients to lead meaningful lives of their choosing, make informed decisions, and participate in their communities. They will supervise Supported Living staff in their duties and perform administrative work for clients and employees. They will provide advocacy for and assist clients to navigate government agencies for accessing public benefits.
Advocating for the human rights of people with developmental disabilities, supporting them to be in control of their lives and break barriers to community inclusion, requires a team approach. Therefore, the Community Support Facilitator will have a strong support system within the agency, including a dynamic team of fellow facilitators and ongoing job specific training. Since East Bay Innovations is a human services and social services non-profit with a commitment to social justice and economic justice, the facilitator will work with people who believe in advocacy and share those passions.

Qualifications:
The Community Support Facilitator in our supported living program must have impeccable integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven and self-directed. Other qualifications include:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Two or more years in human services, social services, or social work
- Supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel
- A commitment to social justice and human rights
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, exercise good judgment and lead change
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic team and build strong relationships
- Able to lead a diverse workforce team around a common goal
- Applicants must have a California driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle
- Must pass a Live-scan DOJ background check and DMV pull
Work Schedule:
The CSF will split time between performing administrative duties in the office (San Leandro), and supporting clients and staff in the field (Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville). Working hours are mostly 40 per week, on a standard Monday through Friday schedule. However, applicants must be flexible to work shifts, holding our Emergency Cell Phone for 24 hours a few times a month while coordinating, and also providing direct support to clients during evenings, nights, and weekends.

- We know COVID is still a real thing in our world. Our program has made some changes and modifications during the Shelter In Place. We are starting to slowly go back out in the community.
Salary: $66,560 annually [Exempt]
You will also receive a $75 stipend per day when holding the Emergency Cell Phone Monday-Friday, and $125 for Saturday and Sunday.

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program is a federal program that forgives student loan debt for nonprofit employees after 120 qualifying payments.
