Job Abstract

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School is accepting applications for a Social Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will include the teacher to teach World History and potentially U.S. Government/Economic courses. The position also may require one class in American Literature. The course load will be 5 courses for the 2024-2025 school year.

The candidate must be comfortable to teach Social Science and English as the core requirements. Also, the candidate should be comfortable and well verse in using technology and have experience/knowledge using LMS Canvas.

-Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or other relevant academic area. A Master’s degree in Social Science, or Education is preferred.
-Minimum 3-5 years’ experience teaching at a Catholic high school is preferred.
-Must possess knowledge of best pedagogical practices in education.
-Proficiency in curriculum planning, instruction, and assessment.
-Experience with academic technology and/or an enthusiastic willingness to be trained to employ new tools.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
