Job Abstract

The Loan Officer/Underwriter is responsible for negotiating, underwriting, and closing consumer/commercial loans while ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies. They cultivate business relationships, provide financial guidance to clients, and support the bank's business plan.

DUTIES:

• Underwrite new loans and foster customer connections.
• Address credit needs and validate collateral valuations.
• Collaborate with Loan Originators/Business Development Officers to execute the bank's business plan.
• Manage client relationships and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor accounts for compliance and cross-sell bank products.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and adhere to BSA policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in originating and underwriting commercial loans.
• Bilingual proficiency in English/Mandarin preferred.
• The ideal candidate will bring in business accounts especially demand deposits (non-interest bearing).
