Job Summary
Under the supervision of an administrator and general direction of a classroom teacher, assists the teacher in the education of students including management of student behavior; recordkeeping; instructional assistance; classroom safety, security and organization; and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and agencies.

This office is establishing an open eligibility list for the Para-educator, Serving Students with Mild/Moderate Needs position for the 24/25 school year. Para-educators work with students with learning, communication, behavioral or emotional disabilities. The majority of students served are in need of academic assistance. Candidates on the eligibility list may be considered for any full-time, part-time, or limited-term positions occurring within 6 months of the established list for this job classification.
NOTE: “Additional Questions” are included in the application form and will be used in the initial screening process. Applicants considered most qualified by a screening panel will continue in the selection process. It is in your best interest to answer these questions as fully as possible.
EXAM PROCESS
Qualified applicants who pass screening process will receive a notice indicating the next steps in the process, which is a written exam. Candidates are required to appear in person on the scheduled exam dates.
