As an Entry Level Equipment Engineer, you will support new and existing marine construction projects. This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of a marine construction equipment fleet. The position will deal with day to day as well as long term issues related to an equipment fleet. The position’s main focus will be to improve equipment reliability as well as implement, monitor, audit, and manage preventative maintenance programs and equipment repair, maintenance, and upgrade projects including repowers and dry dockings.

This position is located at our Greenville Yard in Jersey City, NJ.
• Champion the company safety program and safe work practices in all activities.
• Assist in preparation and review of Work Plans and related safety and planning paperwork.
• Evaluate available equipment repair options.
• Work with Equipment Manager, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan and schedule major equipment projects.
• Assist in developing overall project logistics including on time procurement.
• Set and monitor budgets, production goals, and schedules.
• Work with Equipment Manager and Superintendents to continually develop the company’s maintenance procedures and standards.

• Has obtained an undergraduate AS/ BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Construction Mgmt.
• Must possess a good mechanical foundation and strong work ethic
• The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels is required
• Willingness and ability to work a minimum of a 40-hour work week Mon – Fri with
overtime as needed and one Saturday every other month is required
• Experience with crane, floating equipment and heavy machinery is a plus
• Knowledge of MS Office Products
• Experience with scheduling software is considered an asset (P6, MS Projects)

Base Compensation: $77,000 - $89,960
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
