About FirstLine Schools
In 1998, FirstLine Schools started the first charter school in New Orleans. Our mission is to create and inspire great open admissions public schools in New Orleans.

Position Summary:
The IT Coordinator will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and updating the software and hardware used by the students and staff at the school. This position will also support FirstLine's increasing growth and utilization of Personalized Learning Initiatives that include classroom and lab device deployments. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and easily prioritize problems. He or she should also have excellent customer service skills and will have the opportunity to collaborate with school staff to update and streamline the school’s IT systems.
This position is equivalent to a Tier 1 Tech Support role.
Position Responsibilities:
Software Support
? Understands software functionality and identifies the right software solution for each situation
? Troubleshoots and problem solves for unique software
? Provides support and consistently works with Google Apps for Education (G-Suite)
? Provides support and consistently works with Active Directory, Windows Server 2012 r2, Server 2016, Server 2019.
? Provides support and consistently works with Windows 10, OS X/macOS, Chrome OS
? Provides support and consistently works with surveillance system software
? Provides support and consistently works with ticket management system
Hardware Support
? Knowledge of networking theory and implementation.
? Understanding of building level networking deployments.
? Provides copier support.
? Troubleshoots hardware and software issues with end user devices (computers, phones, document cameras, etc.).
? Seeks out and expands skill sets to gain greater troubleshooting skills.
? Provides direct user support.
? Provides support for mission-critical objectives (Personalized Learning, Blended Learning Labs, etc)
? Support IT Manager/IT Vendors with installation/repair of networking and server equipment.
? Knowledge of working with audio and visual equipment.
Customer Service
? Has professional and personable interactions with staff and students.
? Responds to ticket system, supervisor requests, and ongoing IT needs.
? Prioritizes needs and escalates issues as needed.
? Provides unprompted updates about ongoing situations.
? Willing to innovate and adapt to find the solution to the issue at hand.
? Ability and willingness to provide support at other FirstLine sites and occasionally after hours and weekends.
? Offer Professional Development for staff assistance with a variety of systems (copiers, content filter, G-Suite services, etc)
Education & Experience:
? Associates, B.A. or B.S. in related field or equivalent experience with IT support
? Experience managing technology and information systems, preferably in an educational setting, preferred
? Knowledge of a range of technologies from desktop computers to P2P server/client inter-connectivity
? Ability to communicate complicated technological information in a clear and concise manner
? Willingness to continuously update his or her IT knowledge base
? Experience working with children in an educational capacity preferable

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.
Light lifting of equipment may be required (up to 20 lbs.)
IT COORDINATOR reports to: School Operations Manager
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. FirstLine Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package with a generous 403b plan.
