Structure.pdf Job Summary:The Grants Administrator in the College of Science and Technology's Research Administration Office will report to the Director of Research Administration & Finance and provide pre- and post-award research and financial administration support for individual investigators within the college. The Grants Administrator will work directly with faculty Principal Investigators (P - Is) and administrators to monitor and ensure compliance and efficiency of grant activity, fiscal resources, and controls. Additional responsibilities include maintaining current knowledge of external funder and university regulations and communicating this information to department research personnel in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as assigned. Essential Functions
of Position:- Primary responsibilities include assisting department research personnel with developing and implementing goals and procedures related to research grant applications.- Assists P - Is with preparing and routing proposals in the e. RA system before submission to the University's Grants Management Office.- Review proposals in the e. RA system to ensure that information complies with sponsor guidelines and internal policies and procedures.- Serves as a liaison between the Grants Management Office and the PI to rectify or provide information on the electronic proposal form.- Prepares post-award budgets before sending for cost center set-up.- Post-award duties include managing accounts in various active, pending, and closeout stages.- Monitors grant expenditures and prepare financial reports to ensure compliance with funder requirements.- Ensures that all sponsor guidelines and inquiries have been met.- Completes internal and external forms as needed. Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field, and at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred:- Pre and Post Award Grants Management experience within a higher education or hospital setting.- Experience managing Clinical Research Required Background Checks & Clearances:- Handling of Purchasing Cards, Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, and managing financial transactions- Access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
