Job Overview:
We are currently looking for an Adjunct Therapist to conduct evaluations and plan treatment activities for patients with psychosocial dysfunctions. The use of all methods of practice and/or work performance, must conform to written established hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.
Qualifications:
Required:
- BS degree (Required).
- Board Certified in Creative Arts Therapy (Required).
- Rehabilitation/Creative Arts Therapist licensed or credentialed by appropriate association or licensure or credentialing board ( i.e ATR-BC, LCAT, R-DMT, BC-DMT).
- Experience working in Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, and/or Geriatrics.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Masters in Creative Therapy (Preferred).
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):
- Board Certifed in Creative Arts Therapy (Required).
Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
Essential Functions:
- Assume a leadership role in recommending and implementing programs to meet patients’ therapeutic need.
- Collaborate with creative arts therapists on staff to provide continuity of care.
- Communicate with staff regarding clinically appropriate information obtained from patient interaction.
- Contribute to establishing priorities in multidisciplinary treatment planning and implement interventions to facilitate goal accomplishment.
- Develop and implement therapeutic groups for appropriate ages.
- Accurately document the patient’s behavior, progress and involvement in milieu programs.
- Evaluate group therapy program on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Perform recreational therapy evaluation of each patient within allotted time frame.
