The Quality Technician supports Manufacturing and other Customer-related processes by performing a variety of inspection tasks involving raw materials, finished products, and documentation, in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with company and customer requirements. Documentation Inspection includes reviewing documents related to receiving incoming purchased materials, manufacturing documentation, shipping documentation, and customer purchase orders and drawings. This role requires an exceptional level of detail orientation to ensure that all information given on the documents is correct including customer requirements, material specifications, product identification, etc.
Shift: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 hr
Responsibilities Include:
Reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
Use handheld measuring instruments and other precision measurement equipment to perform inspections
Receives incoming items to the extent necessary for those items to be inspected.
Communicates between various departments to support MRB with root cause analysis.
Inputs inspection results into designated databases.
Generates reports and summaries of investigation results.
Scans and maintains records of material and process certificates.
Audits final packaged products and associated documents to ensure zero defects.
Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a Quality or Production role, performing inspections and using gauges.
Ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices safely and appropriately.
Must demonstrate knowledge of inspection techniques and familiarity with sampling plans.
Demonstrates proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
Ability to read, understand, translate, and clearly communicate customer requirements both verbally and in writing.
Basic computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel and good math skills.
Prior knowledge of QAD MFG/Pro is preferred.
Basic understanding of root cause analysis and other quality tools.

This position's total target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $20 to $30 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to TARGET 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $45,760 to $68,640. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
