ATI is currently looking for a Material Handler/Data Clerk at our Irvine, California facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for performing all required duties such as moving product between departments, creating moving slips, and maintaining accuracy to avoid setbacks within Forge and Heat Treat departments.
Job Duties:
- Practice safe job function while performing all duties.
- Forge and heat treat data entry.
- Create move tickets for forge and Heat treat Departments.
- Move product to next department.
- Review and get DMR product processed and moved.
- Inspecting work sites to ensure the safety of workers and property.
- Manage forge shop inventory including DMR’s and scrap materials.
- Operating a computer to enter data about inventory, including work order information and progress reports.
- Perform visual inspection on all product prior to movement for flaws and identification.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma.
- Basic math skills.
- Great attention to detail, like applying the correct amount of pressure to the surface they are working on.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Physical strength – able to pick up 50 lbs.
- Some basic knowledge on industrial tools, hand tools, power tools and so forth.
- Basic computer literacy – operators should be comfortable using computers - the user interface, and/or kiosk.
- Ability to operate a forklift – operating controls (forward, backward, steer, and control the lift) *Certification not required we will train an individual. *
- Experience in following safety protocols – for example, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, how to handle chemicals, and so forth.
Hourly Pay: $22-$24/hr.
