About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director that will be responsible for the 24 by 7 platform support for the critical ATM applications used across the country. The Technology Director will need to guide the platform team maturity process by enforcing strong documentation, driving deep product understanding, and upskilling the support teams. The Technology Director will be expected to join and drive outage calls for the products. The Technology Director will lead an SRE organization with product owners for Observability, Automation and Cloud Engineering for the ATM space. The Leader will deliver on improved customer experiences by increasing availability and performance, and reclaiming time through automation and cloud engineering outcomes. This role will experience portfolio growth in 2025.
In this role, you will:

- Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
- Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
- Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Management experience
- 8+ years of leadership experience in a technical environment
- 8+ years of production support experience
- 4+ years of experience managing software development projects
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:
- Experience in Technology Strategic Leadership, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Management experience

- Experience guiding SRE Agile squads to increase their productivity and quality by learning and applying the right tools and practices to become a self-managed, cross-functional team
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology transformations
- Ability to effectively drive and lead operational change in an organization with Wells Fargo’s size, scale and complexity
- Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction
- Extensive experience utilizing OKRs framework for focusing organizational efforts and attaining challenging goals
- Demonstrated ability to manage technology efforts across several lines of business and effectively partner/influence at the senior executive level
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
- Ability to develop technology strategy, operating model & roadmaps with clear objectives and aligned with business, enterprise and WFT strategies
- Broad experience across multiple areas of technology including one or more of architecture, infrastructure, application development and engineering
- Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
- Highly effective decision-making, critical thinking, problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
- Experience supporting ATM applications
