ERM is hiring a Utility Technical Program Manager to support our power client in the Oakland, CA. As a Utility Technical Program Manager, you will be accountable for successfully consulting and delivering excellence on EHS&S Management Systems projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM's global Sustainable Operations team to share best practices across the industry. This position will provide delivery of technical excellence on projects. This is a part-time (25-40 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 12 months, renewable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a key member of the “core” technical team to drive double-digit profitable growth across the business (e.g. effectively working with key clients by assisting them with their EHS&S Management Systems software selection, implementation, system integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, and improvements.
Serve as mid-senior practitioner for program management and related activities in support of ERM clients with a focus on EHS&S Management Systems projects.
Support the management of strategic programs with complex technical/regulatory issues; Support the design and management of large programs and EHS&S Management under the direction of senior leadership.
Provide Program Management for large projects and multi-person project teams; Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Work closely with clients and develop strong relationships to understand specific processes and develop strategies to help clients maintain maximum operating flexibility.
Effectively manage project teams, including appropriately delegating project assignments to project teams and mentoring junior staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/MS in a technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related program.
Relevant consulting experience working with significant clients on EHS&S Management Systems solutions and sustainable EHS programs.
Experience managing complex programs involving vendors and multiple stakeholders.
7-10 years in program management, particularly in GIS implementation or electric asset management.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Lean Management and process improvement experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of GIS technologies and electric asset management is a plus.
Experience developing and managing program plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources) while also identifying and managing risks associated with execution.
Strong leadership experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for project execution.
Proven experience coordinating program governance meetings and materials.
Ability to travel to different sites as needed in Northern California.

Pay Transparency:
For the Utility Technical Program Manager position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $125,472 – $142,800, $60.32/hr - $68.65/hr, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).
