Job Summary
DEFINITION
Under the direction of an elementary or intermediate school principal, provide library media services related to the circulation, distribution and recovery of library, reference books, textbooks, e-books, digital materials, equipment, and other instructional materials at an elementary or intermediate school; process and shelve library/media center materials and assist students and staff in the selection of library/media center materials. Act as a resource person in computer instruction in the library media center.

Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
• Proof of High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND Completion of two years of higher education studies (48 semester units) OR Possess an Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Science degree or higher degree OR Proof of High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND Passed the Garvey School District Local Assessment (PTAP).
• LICENSES: A valid California driver’s license may be required for some positions in this class. Obtain and show valid proof of insurance. Employee will operate a vehicle observing legal and defensive driving practices.
• Completion of a Criminal Records Check is required prior to beginning work.
