WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Data Analysis and Reporting: 50%
- Collect, analyze, and interpret revenue data from various sources.
- Prepare regular reports on revenue performance, highlighting key metrics, trends and variances.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance revenue, including customer pricing analysis, and profitability margin analysis.
- Evaluate pricing strategies and assess their impact on revenue.
- Monitor pricing structures, discounts, and promotions.
- Price / Volume / Mix analysis.
- Monitor compliance with revenue policies and guidelines.
Forecasting and Budgeting: 20%
- Develop revenue forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Collaborate with branch finance and sales teams to create revenue budgets.
- Track actual performance against budget and forecast and provide variance analysis as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: 10%
- Partner with sales and operations teams to understand business dynamics by analyzing sales data, and operational efficiency on revenue generation by tracking performance metrics and identifying trends.
- Provide insights to improve sales processes, customer segmentation, and product offerings.
- Participate in pricing discussions and revenue-related decisions.
Ad Hoc Analysis: 20%
- Investigate anomalies, conduct ad hoc analyses, and answer specific revenue-related queries.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 3-5 years Accounting and Analytic Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Expert knowledge and proficiency in Excel, BI/BW and data visualization tools
- Previous experience in revenue analysis, financial planning, or related roles.
- BPC knowledge a plus
- SAC knowledge a plus
- Driven and prepared to take a hands-on and proactive approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Position demands critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ideally the candidate will ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
