The Opportunity
The Sr. Manager, Data Scientist works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.
Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On
Lead team that is responsible for solving complex problems that require knowledge in advanced analytics through statistical models and business integration.
Thought leader and hands-on technical leader who is actively involved in advanced analytics program development using R and SQL Server.
Design, implement, and manage analysis through statistical methods related to data mining, business analysis, design and design of experiments, multivariate regression (logistic, Bayesian hierarchical, etc.) and cluster/decision tree analysis.
Develop and test new or emerging analytics methodologies, including testing of new KPIs.
Partner with Commercial leaders to create data driven recommendations that grow share, sales and margin.
Involved in the day to day support of investment strategy, ROI, sales execution, pricing, and sales budgets.
Communicates technical analysis and findings to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
Presents regularly to Sales and Marketing community to drive enrollment toward evidence-based recommendations.
Drives leadership conversations around analytic resources and tools necessary to deliver on the needs of the business with the urgency required in the long run.
Lead team of data scientists, aligning priorities and development plans.
Develops and implements effective knowledge sharing processes, ensuring that team members maintain a high level of technical expertise.
On-going coaching and career development.
Required Qualifications
BS in Business Analytics, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or related field.
10+ years' experience in data mining, modeling, forecasting, or other analytics
Experience in R or Python, SQL Server, and Power BI.
Experience in time series and regression modeling and forecasting
Experience in coordination and management of data science/analytics programs, including applying and improving established approaches and techniques as well as introducing innovative methods.
Experience in applying data exploration and data science knowledge to new domains and leading the research and implementation of innovative approaches
Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and the ability to communicate technical analysis and findings clearly to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
Exceptional organization and time management skills, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Experience in coordination and management of data science/analytics programs, including applying and improving established approaches and techniques as well as introducing innovative methods.
Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or related field
Experience with SAS.
ETL experience with technologies such as Microsoft Data Factory and Microsoft Azure.
Experience in Healthcare analytics
