Position Description Summary:
The Department of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Sciences at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences welcomes applications for a full-time time (12-month), non-tenure-track faculty position. The Occupational Therapy Program is developing an entry-level OTD program and seeks experienced educators with expertise in child and adolescent as well as mental health occupational therapy to collaborate in program development and teaching. The program is in a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Washington, D.C. The University provides a dynamic academic environment fostering strong collaborative and interprofessional efforts within the University and beyond.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Faculty are expected to engage in program, university, and professional service. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda that aligns with the program’s mission, vision, and goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctorate (PhD, OTD, DHSc, or other relevant doctoral-level degrees) and be eligible for licensure to practice occupational therapy in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment. Candidates must have at least three years of clinical and teaching experience in child and youth or mental health occupational therapy practices.
