SUMMARY: Sales representatives spend most of their time at their desks, using scripts, product knowledge, and communication skills to generate sales and interest. Their main goal is to engage customers and keep the conversation going by asking questions. Sales reps are responsible for the entire sales process from start to finish. They are required to make an average of 19 calls per hour or have 45 minutes of total call time per hour each day. Full-time reps must meet a quota of 25 sales per month, while part-time reps are required to meet a quota of 18 sales per month. The commission will not be earned on sales that do not meet the quota. Sales reps may be required to work evening and weekend shifts. In addition to sales duties, reps may also be responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing sales reports, scheduling appointments, or researching competitor prices and products. REPORTING: Reports directly to the Residential Sales Manager. REQUIREMENTS: • Calls residential homes and promotes/sells/secures orders from prospective customers through a friendly relationship-based approach. • Communicates products and services to potential customers and assists them in selecting the best-suited service based on their needs. • Makes an average of 19 calls per hour and/or 45 minutes of total call time per hour. • Meets a quota of 18 sales per month for part-time reps and 25 sales per month for full-time reps. Reps do not earn commission until the quota is met. • Makes telephone calls and receives incoming calls to sell specific products and services to consumers. • Conducts outbound, lead follow-up calls to potential customers via telephone and e-mail to qualify leads to sell services. • Explains different customizable features of products and services to potential customers. • Develops clear and effective proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers over the phone. • Demonstrates the ability to carry on conversations with potential customers for residential services with decision-makers. • Processes orders over the phone on a computer database. • Collects methods of payment over the phone. • Presents solutions to residential customers to save money, provides accurate sales contract information, and gives estimated time of delivery based on production schedules. • Stays familiar with and competent in utilizing Company products and services, and provided software and hardware. • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, follow-up calls, and follow-up mail when required or needed. • Must be able to maintain punctuality and attendance, with unpaid absences not exceeding 3 or more work days in one year.
