Job Duties	· Care for the ornamental plants on campus including the beds of annuals, perennials, and shrubs · Design and propose ideas for new landscape installations · Prepare cost estimates for in-house and contracted landscape projects · Maintain a working relationship with various plant vendors /suppliers · Collaborate with faculty and students on environmental and service assignments · Maintain all College turf by mowing, seeding, and installing turf applications, as assigned · Collect all leaf and other debris to keep the grounds clean, as assigned · Responsible for snow removal on campus, as assigned · Assist with athletic field maintenance · Ensure the College’s storm water collection system is clear of debris · Apply herbicides & pesticides as required · Trim trees following safety procedures, as assigned · Raking, planting, snow shoveling & litter removal · Operation of leaf blowers, mowers, snow blowers and grounds vehicles · Lawn mowing, assist with lawn maintenance applications, and perform equipment maintenance as part of the job. · Collect trash around campus at the direction of ES Supervisor and dispose at designated location · Serve as on-call, when needed on weekends for ES issues · Assist with event set-up and policing as needed · Stock campus supply closets, as needed · Floor care projects, as assigned This position is required to work outside in varied weather conditions and be able to perform physical labor. Additional training will be provided to operate any unfamiliar machinery such as front end loaders, ride-on spreaders, forklifts, chippers and chainsaws, as needed.
Required Qualifications	A high school diploma plus 3 years of grounds experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires a valid driver’s license for business travel purposes (individual must have a US driver’s license for at least three years) and a valid PA Pesticide Applicators Certification or acquire within 6 months of hire.

The employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather and temperature extremes, indoor conditions, and moderate noise level. This individual is also regularly exposed to chemicals, fumes, dust, and/or work safety hazards.
