As part of the Stanford University Center for Definitive and Curative Medicine (CDCM), the Discovery Stage Associate Project Manager provides comprehensive project support and management resources to Stanford Investigators specializing in stem cell and gene therapies. The CDCM seeks a full-time Associate Project Manager to provide planning, monitoring, and managing of investigator-initiated translational research projects in the early stages of development; ensuring on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. They will oversee the development process, produce progress reports, coordinate activities, and ensure that timelines and deliverables on projects are being met. This involves the management of multiple projects and oversight of all functional areas involved in delivery of various aspects of clinical programs/studies. This roll will partner with more senior project managers/leads in managing the early-stage development of cell and gene therapy trials across CDCM platforms.
Duties include:

Manage the implementation of new pre-clinical projects.
Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include communications, events, training, and/or conferences.
May participate in development of budgets or oversee budgets and monitor and approve expenditures.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education or experience in the field of immunology, stem cell biology or other biological sciences preferred.
Ability to produce Gantt Charts and other project management tools
General understanding of the research process including but not limited to; the development of protocol, implementation of a successful research project, and management project plans and coordinating teamwork assignments
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
