Position Specific Description
This position is part of the growing Renewable Fuels Team within NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division. The Lead Project Manager will manage a portfolio of large-to-medium scale technical projects supporting new construction and existing assets. This role will be based in Houston, Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience as a technical project manager on a variety of large-to-medium scale projects of high complexity
- Strong engineering background with a solid understanding of energy or chemical process development. Specific experience with Landfill Gas Treatment or Coal Mine Methane treatment is a plus.
- Experienced at interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams in executing assigned projects (i.e., Originations, Development, Permitting, HS&E, Business management, Operations, Construction, Commissioning and Operations)
- Exemplary presentation skills
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and KPI’s.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and subcontracting)
- Familiarity with power and gas industry standards and equipments
- Responsible for managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) for any assigned facilities.
- Familiarity with Compliance Offset Protocols is a plus.
