Job Description

The Associate Director, Marketing, HCP Promotions - PBC will be responsible for supporting Sales and Marketing efforts by driving promotional excellence. This role includes assisting with the development and implementation of promotional campaigns and educational activities for people living with PBC. The role will report directly to the Senior Director, Marketing HCP Promotions, PBC.

• Develops and executes HCP focused tactical initiatives including but not limited to websites, social media, digital/print media initiatives, SEO/SEM, email marketing and optimizes execution and success of the brand.

• Assist in development of Unbranded Campaign and Educational Content for US HCPs including but not limited to Imagery, Messaging/Content Development, Materials, Tactics, and Channel Mix

• Drive tactical planning and integration of unbranded and branded campaign/educational content where appropriate.

• Effectively manages multiple agency partners to produce deliverables on strategy, within timelines, on budget, and measures outcomes.

• Closely manages media budget targets for assigned programs.

• Gains approval for marketing materials through internal review process including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg. Secures final production.

• Works well cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Sales Analytics and Managed Markets and other key internal stakeholders

• Conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis of current initiatives to determine optimal resource allocation and continuous improvement of campaigns.

• Drive tactical planning and integration of unbranded campaign/educational content where appropriate.

• Responsible for contributing towards Launch Readiness Reviews, timing, coordination, and execution for HCP work (as appropriate)

• Manage AOR to ensure on time and on budget delivery of strategy and tactics.

• Partner closely with Reg, Legal, Medical, II&D, MM, Global, and other internal stakeholders

• Partner with Gilead Digital Strategy Operations (DSO) and Media and Creative Agency Partners to operationalize Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to become more insightful and actionable.

• Identify opportunities to pilot new ideas to reach and engage HCPs in innovative ways that drive business result.

• Develop and deliver presentations to key internal stakeholders (HIV business unit, leadership team, sales teams) and external audiences

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience or

Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience or

Ph.D. and Four Years’ Experience
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eight+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience; 3+ years of promo experience is preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Graduate degree (preferred)

• Demonstrated excellence in project management including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment and performance management

• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate and lead strategic partners, key stakeholders and internal teams for strong collaboration & teamwork

• Excellent communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written

• Understanding of biopharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

• Prior relevant therapeutic area experience: rare disease, liver, or immunology

• US launch experience in a competitive market space

• Sub-part H materials pre-clearance experience

The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, coachable, perceptive and an analytical problem solver with a track record of success in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
