Position Overview:
The Mortgage Securities Department of the Legal Division is currently seeking a Legal Analyst - Associate responsible for assisting mortgage securities attorneys in connection with securities transactions, including circulating for comment drafts of offering documents and legal documents, drafting closing documents, managing documents, and assisting in due diligence procedures. The Legal Analyst Associate will be responsible for coordinating with internal customers and external parties in connection with these responsibilities.
Our Impact:
The Mortgage Securities Department provides legal counsel and execution support for mortgage-related securitization programs and other securities-related transactions. This includes Single-Family and Multifamily securities and support of related company and Federal Housing Finance Agency initiatives.
Your Impact:
- Collaborate with and improve the performance of the business divisions by providing assistance/conducting monthly closings of Single Family and Multifamily transactions and special projects as needed.
- Position supports the Mortgage Securities Department of the Legal Division.
- Provide legal analyst support to mortgage securities attorneys in the handling of single-family, multi-family and credit risk transfer issuances, including (i) the timely preparation and circulation of drafts of offering documents and closing documentation for review, (ii) pre-closing procedures, such as due diligence procedures, and signature authorizations, (iii) closing support documents and (iv) document management.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 3 years' related experience
- Experience coordinating with internal customers and external parties in processing transaction documentation.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- Paralegal Certification preferred
- Transactional experience in a law firm or corporate environment
- Familiarity with computer technology (including internet applications, computer research tools and word processing applications (Microsoft Word) and database management

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $65,000 - $97,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
