The Climate Initiatives Senior will be responsible for driving the measurement and disclosure of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This individual will collaborate with cross-divisional internal and external stakeholders to collect, track, and reconcile information supporting emissions quantification, facilitate GHG assurance and audits, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to enhance carbon accounting software and tools and prepare GHG information for disclosure. Our team is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the corporate sustainability strategy, including driving climate impact through partnerships, initiatives, and program development. We also manage sustainability reporting and analysis, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting, and ESG ratings, and support employee education and engagement.
Your Impact:
- Drive GHG emissions and sustainability reporting initiatives; gather data from cross-functional teams and identify opportunities to improve data quality and GHG emissions tools.
- Facilitate implementation of carbon accounting software enhancements with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Author and assist with public and regulatory disclosures of Scopes 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions.
- Implement and enhance controlled processes related to GHG emissions quantification and disclosure.
- Lead walkthrough and remediations stemming from internal audits and external assurance of GHG emissions.
- Drive the execution of cross-functional projects forward to make progress on sustainability goals and strategy.
- Synthesize and document complex information; author deliverables, status reports and present to senior leadership, our regulator Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and ESG investors on key topics.
- Assess changes to climate regulatory landscape and determine impacts to carbon accounting and disclosure processes.
- Support other initiative and strategy work as business needs require.
Qualifications:
5+ years of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong written and presentation skills; data analysis and accounting experience preferred.
Adept at managing and executing projects, building relationships, and partnering with multi-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive the GHG emissions disclosure process including methodology selection, quantification, assurance, and publication.
Experience interpreting, aligning, and implementing regulatory or industry frameworks related to GHG emissions management and reporting including but not limited to GHG Protocol, PCAF, SEC Climate Rule, and state level reporting requirements.
Proven ability to navigate the carbon accounting market; experience facilitating the implementation of third-party and in-house GHG quantification tools.
Experience working with suppliers and others in the value chain outside of the company is a plus.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $110,000 - $164,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
