MITRE is seeking a Senior Analyst within the Finance sector to implement strategic execution of priority programs and projects, track actions to successful completion, and support an integrated reporting and monitoring program for the Finance organization. This position plays a critical role to support and advise the SVP/Chief Financial Officer. The position will report to the Director, Strategic Finance, Growth & Transformation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Track and motivate progress on action items and top priorities for the CFO
Build strong working relationships with senior leaders; partner with division leadership to motivate assigned individuals to execute the identified and assigned tasks, while providing appropriate tracking and reporting
Provide coordination and project management support for both ongoing initiatives and special projects, maintaining timelines, lists, reports, presentations, and overall project plans.
Review reports, presentations, and submissions ahead of the SVP/CFO, ensuring alignment to goals and priorities and working with leaders to make any adjustments necessary
Lead complex planning and integrated timeline development for strategic programs and initiatives which requires the ability to prioritize requirements and connect disparate activities with a holistic lens
Work in a collaborative atmosphere with team members across multiple locations to ensure seamless execution
Shape reporting, briefing, and tracking templates and systems; draft and create templates to collect and consolidate data and other information to be synthesized and presented to large audiences
Create simple, compelling, data-driven materials and narratives to enable action among senior management, including papers, briefings, talking points and other key deliverables; draft and create content that is visually appealing and clearly articulates themes, strategy, and messages
Work with senior leaders and manage relationships within and outside of Finance to ensure consistent implementation of strategic goals
Lead or support ad hoc special project assignments for the CFO and Director, Strategic Finance as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years’ or equivalent professional experience in a related work environment
High level of poise, tact, and diplomacy in working closely, often under time pressure, with highly sensitive information, with a diverse group of executives, customers, managers, and support personnel
Understanding of the Finance sector’s plans, programs, goals, and initiatives
Finance experience; ability to interpret financial reports and information
Ability to effectively apply strong self-organization and time management skills, with considerable emphasis on self-initiation
Analytical skills including capacity to interpret data, visualize data, and create dashboards
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including creation of reports, effective emails, and briefing decks
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Able to proactively assess situations and make decisions within broadly defined practices and procedures
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, with strong capabilities with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
