West Hartford Public Schools is seeking to fill a position for a full-time registered behavior technician. Previous work with special education students is preferred. Previous experience with students with social-emotional-behavioral needs is preferred. Responsibilities include working with other pupil services staff to implement IEP goals and objectives, collect data, and support students’ behavioral and academic needs.
Requirements:
Completion of required training including 40-hour online course, required supervision hours by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Must have passing score on the RBT Competency Assessment.
Must pass the initial RBT examination and annual recertification process.
Must have current certification or be able to obtain certification in Physical Management Training.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have demonstrated completion of high school or equivalent/higher, and pass all necessary background checks.
