Journeyman must be skilled craftsmen in their trade, and we prefer a minimum of five (5) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry.You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your special skill.
What you will do:
We are looking for a skilled HVAC systems serviceman who have worked in residential, light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our team to work the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment. This role will be part of the refrigeration team and considered specialty.

We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.
Servicemen must have practical working experience in residential, light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.
Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
What we look for:
Required
- Repair equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customers expectations.
- Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking and repairs.
- Perform refrigeration/HVAC preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner as assigned.
- Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores.
- Participate in companys on call after hours emergency call program.
- Assist with trouble shooting problems.
- Complete equipment inventories as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Preferred
- Experience with supermarket rack systems, display cases, self-contained cases, ice machines and walk-ins highly preferred.
- Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC systems, or equivalent work experience.
- EPA certified for refrigerant handling class I & II, or universal.
