The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for an A-Repairman Licensed Plumber. The A-Repairman-Licensed Plumber duties include but are not limited to Inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating systems and all drainage, water, steam, oil, gas, air, deluge, and sprinkler equipment and systems on or associated with MTA equipment, buildings, and facilities. Must be able to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions; work from drawings, blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals, or similar, and perform assigned duties with the aid of minimal supervision. The candidate will be required to work from heights with the use of ladders, scissor lifts, genie broom trucks, etc. Must have the ability to handle situations involving interfacing with other MTA operations, and perform various duties associated with the Facilities Maintenance Department when necessary.
The current vacancy is located at the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore, Maryland. The current work schedule is Monday-Friday with Saturday & Sunday off.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED certificate recognized by the State of Maryland. Experience: Five (5) years of experience working as a plumber.
Licenses & Certifications
Applicants must possess a Driver's License valid in the State of Maryland. Applicants must list the license number and date of expiration on the application.
Must have a Journeyman’s Level or Higher Plumber License valid in the State of Maryland.
