Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate and Mid-Level Weight & Mass Properties Engineers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops current and forecast weight, balance and mass properties data for out-of-production airplanes and Boeing Converted Freighters
- Author Weights and Balance Manual updates including development of CG envelope analysis.
- Review coordinated Service Requests to answer Customer questions
- Assists in developing Loading Schedules for individual airplanes
- Analyze Service Bulletins to determine impacts to weight and balance on the subject airplanes
- Research and provide analysis for jacking and shoring of airplanes prior to modifications.
- Provide logistics support to our instructors teaching Weights & Balance classes
- Conduct thorough walk-through of airplane to be delivered in Victorville, CA.
- Manifest / inventory all items aboard and provide analysis of expected gross empty weight.
- Assists in conducting certified weighs.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science or related field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in the weight engineering or mass properties discipline.
- Experience in product development and/or product design
- 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
