Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in the monitoring and development of company accounting policies and procedures, including those on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations to ensure compliance with technical accounting standards. Responsible for the development of training resources to ensure consistency with these rules and regulations across the entire organization and varying systems. This effort would include the technical application of the Company’s accounting policies to legacy divisions as well as rollout efforts to new and future acquisitions. Position Responsibilities:
Establishes consistent accounting policies in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); FASB standards and compliance with SEC rules and regulations. Responsible for the accounting policies and procedures manual.
Manages complex projects as assigned including researching and implementing the accounting policies across the organization, including new acquisitions.
Develops accounting team through training and other resources to ensure consistency in accounting policy application across the organization.
Explore and implement technical solutions to assist in monitoring compliance with accounting polices.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education: Bachelors
5-7 years experience
= Preferred Professional Certification(s): CPA
7 - 10 years experience
Merger & acquisition, CPA, and/or Big 4 experience preferred
