Purpose of Position
Perform activities related to the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows 2016/2019/2022 in physical, virtual, and cloud based server environments. Perform installations, upgrades, backups, configuration changes, and patching of secure, high-performing/high-availability Microsoft systems leveraging automation practices wherever possible. Collaborates with appropriate teams regarding problems with and capabilities of Microsoft systems. Assists with architecture and planning the server infrastructure using new technologies. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Remains current with industry trends to develop and recommend technical approaches for systems and solutions to meet business needs.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintenance of Microsoft Windows server, hardware, and operating system, including deployments, hardware migrations and system upgrades in a 24x7x365 high availability global environment. Capacity planning of server environment. Documentation and new technology research as required.
Familiarity with monitoring, deployment , and automation tools such as Solar Winds, Data Dog, PDQ, and Jenkins.
Security hardening (CIS) and patch management leveraging Ivanti Patch managemnt tools and Tenable security tools.
Second/Third-level Help Desk ticket resolution for a 24x7x365 operation.
Participation in an on-call after-hours support rotation

6+ years of experience in an Infrastructure role with a focus on Microsoft server systems administration.
Proficiency with Microsoft 2016/2019/2022 Server.
Experience with automation utilizing Power Shell, PDQ, and Jenkins.
Experience working with systems management tools.
Knowledge of monitoring and performance management tools like Data Dog or Solarwinds a plus.
AWS / Cloud experience highly desirable.
Experience with Windows server hardening and of CIS standards and recommendations.
