Acquisition Analyst - Multifamily Real Estate
Fairfield is a private equity investor in the multifamily real estate sector with $10 Billion of assets under management. Fairfield is looking for an Acquisition Analyst to assist in the underwriting and acquisition of apartment projects nationwide. The position is located in our corporate office in San Diego, CA and will report to the SVP - Director of Acquisitions Underwriting.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience underwriting multifamily properties and will be able to quickly transition to working with our investment team to value potential acquisition targets. This position will provide candidates with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the investment process across multiple acquisition verticals from one of the most active companies in the industry.
Responsibilities will include:
• Working with the acquisition team members to create cash flow projections for properties identified as potential investments.
• Conducting market rent surveys
• Responding to the requests of lenders throughout the acquisition process
• Helping to prepare submissions to Fairfield’s Investment Committee
• Assisting in due diligence as needed
• Maintaining pipeline reports for various fund vehicles
• Performing various other types of analysis, research, and financial modeling
Qualifications:
• College degree required
• 1-year underwriting experience, preferably in a capital markets or investment sales role
• Strong quantitative skills
• Excellent communication ability (both oral and written)
• Understanding of fundamental real estate valuation and investment concepts – IRR, cap rates, discounted cash flows, etc.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Some travel required

Estimated Rate of Pay:
$67,500.00 - $77,500.00
This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.
The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
