Leads team initiatives and participates simultaneously in multiple IT/Business project efforts. Incumbent at this level is a learned professional responsible for resolving problems of moderate difficulty through analyzing possible solutions utilizing standard procedures. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and provides engineering, third-level technical support, and technology integration services for all aspects of Field server, O/S, hardware, storage, network and virtualization infrastructure.
Leads team initiatives and participates simultaneously in multiple IT/Business project efforts.

Technical guidance required for unusual and/or complex problems/projects.
In addition to Engineer I responsibilities; Engineer II
Demonstrates an intermediate level of technical knowledge and a fundamental understanding of key business processes in their market and the enterprise
Tests & identifies workstation & laptop models for service catalog; manages ordering & disposal of assets including compliance with Legal Holds processes. Responds to escalated alerts & cases from the Technical Support Center (TSC) & Data Center Operations (DCO) teams to resolve moderately complex to complex issues. Performs advanced, site-based troubleshooting & diagnostics gathering as needed. Participates in on-call support.
Provides technical leadership & mentoring to Field Server Engineer I's, Operation Technicians & Support Technicians. Leads internal initiatives for the implementation & improvement of field-based processes. Serves as the primary integration point among centralized corporate infrastructure processes & field locations. Identifies support processes that can be migrated from the Field support team to the TSC.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing client &/or supplier relationships.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Microsoft servers & related technologies.
Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting server, wide area networking (WAN), local area networking (LAN) & virtual infrastructure strongly preferred.
Ability to travel up to 40% required.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred.
