Job Description Summary
The Office of Institutional Compliance and Internal Audit is seeking a diligent and analytical student worker to assist with the operational, compliance and financial audit process, administrative duties, and other internal initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn in a team environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist in conducting internal audits under the supervision of senior auditors. • Participate in the planning, execution, and reporting phases of audit engagements. • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and developing recommendations for enhancement. • Collaborate with team members to ensure audits are completed within established timelines. • Maintain organized audit files and documentation for future reference. • Assist with designing and writing content for newsletters and websites controlled by the Office of Institutional Compliance & Internal Audit. • Work with various departments to ensure accurate information and links are displayed on websites controlled by the Office of Institutional Compliance & Internal Audit. • Analyze data related to auditing and compliance matters. • Assist with managing inventory promotional materials associated to ethics awareness. • Assist in special projects or initiatives as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
• Currently enrolled as a student with a minimum of 6 credit hours pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desired Qualifications
• Prior work experience in auditing or accounting • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products such as InDesign and Illustrator • Experience with performing data analytics and/or completion of courses within this field • Experience with website editing and content creation software such as Modern Campus CMS
