Position Summary
As an Associate Product Manager on the Energizer Battery R&D Team, you will lead a team of engineers, technologists, and technicians to develop and analyze data trends to generate claims for on-pack, trade-and consumer-facing advertising for global battery products by collaborating with cross-functional partners. The position is based at our Energizer R&D facility in Westlake, OH.
Responsibilities
Lead a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by collaborating with cross-functional partners including marketing, legal, procurement, operations, quality assurance, and external third parties as needed to reach objectives
Provide project leadership, communicating updates to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Lead engineers, scientists, and technicians to develop, implement, and support product claims
Support new product development and surety of supply projects in partnership with broader R&D teams
Lead and coordinate the claims process, managing data for new product development and commercialized products
Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Refine internal processes and ways of working to optimize effectiveness and efficiency
Manage performance, empower others, and develop talent
What we are looking for
4+ years of experience in an R&D or equivalent setting
1-2 years demonstrated leadership ability through direct/indirect supervision
Bachelors in Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or relevant scientific discipline
Project management experience or cross-functional team coordination
Comprehend business objectives working independently and cross-functionally to solve problems efficiently
Strong analytical and statistical skills, ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data
Excellent communication and organization skills, with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
Demonstrated knowledge of product development systems and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
What we prefer
Experience in battery systems or other related consumer goods products
Experience working directly with marketing and legal entities on a regular basis
Stage Gate protocol, Design for Six Sigma, Statistics and Design of Experiments
