JOB OVERVIEW:
APTIM is pleased to announce an immediate opening for an Entry Level Civil / Environmental Engineer in our Concord, CA office to support our exciting portfolio of projects. Our Concord office operates as the consulting and engineering center for APTIM's Solid Waste Engineering Division, and as a hub for our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. We provide the following services to both the public and private sectors:
Local siting and zoning,
Facility design and permitting,
Stormwater modeling and management plan development,
Construction oversight,
Operations and maintenance,
Hydrogeologic and geotechnical investigations,
Environmental compliance audits,
Facility closure and redevelopment plans,
Solid waste planning and public education, and
Environmental site assessments and remediation

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Assist with site plans, grading and drainage plans, pump and piping plans, and conceptual layouts for civil earthworks, landfill grading and construction projects
Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analyses
Assist with reports and specifications
Supporting facility design
Assisting with data collection and analysis
Providing construction oversight
Collaborating with other team members
Assisting project managers
Providing other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
BS/MS Environmental or Civil Engineering
0-5 years experience Civil Engineering
Ability to work on multidisciplinary project work
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-starter and problem solver
Excellent organizational skills
Develops competence in own area by performing routine work
Desired Qualifications:
Engineer in Training (EIT) designation from the NCEES, a plus
Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, a plus
Knowledge in earthworks grading and/or solid waste projects, a plus
